At ITE® Technical Rack Inspection, our goal is to offer our clients more for less, standing out in quality, technology, and experience. We strive to provide a comprehensive service that goes beyond the initial inspection, offering safety and confidence to our clients. But you might be wondering… What does an ITE include?
Table of Contents
ToggleOur work doesn’t end once the inspection is complete. We add extra value that makes our service unique, professional, and profitable for those who choose us. As we have explained in other posts on our blog, we not only inspect the racking systems but also offer preventive training to warehouse managers and operators who work with these structures.
Additionally, our service includes a series of complementary features that allow us to anticipate the needs of our clients, ensuring comprehensive support that protects their interests. So, what does an ITE Technical Rack Inspection include?
Here are some examples:
- A photographically documented report detailing all incidents detected during the inspection, accompanied by a list of corrective actions and measures to maintain the stability of the storage system.
- Clear identification: Our technicians place identification plates on the racks, indicating the inspection date and when the next inspection should take place.
- An inspection logbook that records the entire history of the rack, creating a technical “biography” of the structure that allows for its monitoring and maintenance.
- An official certificate signed by an expert from NOEGA Systems, certifying that the inspection was carried out in accordance with the UNE EN 15635 standard.
- We also provide an informative talk for operators and company managers, promoting awareness and proper use of the racks.
After the ITE, clients have access to one year of free telephone support for any queries or incidents related to the inspection.
Storage Systems Subject to Inspection
The storage systems subject to inspection include all those specified in the UNE EN 15878:2011 standard, titled “Storage Systems in Metal Racks. Terms and Definitions.” This standard establishes the characteristics and requirements to ensure the safety and stability of various types of metal racks. At ITE® Technical Rack Inspection, we specialize in inspecting all these systems, which include, but are not limited to:
- Adjustable Pallet Racking (APR): Systems that allow pallets to be stored in an adjustable manner, providing direct access to each load and offering great flexibility in storage.
- Pallet Racking with Stacker Cranes (S/R): Automated systems that use stacker cranes to handle pallets, enabling high storage and efficient automated operations.
- Manual Load Racks: Solutions for storing light or medium products, designed to be manually operated by workers, providing accessibility and organization within the warehouse.
- Cantilever Racks: Especially suitable for long and bulky loads such as profiles, pipes, or wood, these racks offer a robust and accessible structure for horizontal storage.
- Compact Pallet Racking (Drive-in and Drive-through): Systems designed to store large volumes of pallets, optimizing available space by reducing the aisles between racks.
- Dynamic Pallet Racks: Incorporate rollers or gravity systems that facilitate pallet movement, allowing quick and organized rotation based on logistical needs.
- Dynamic Box Racks: Ideal for picking and storing light or medium-sized boxes, using roller systems that speed up order preparation and optimize space.
- Self-supporting Racks: Large structures that not only serve as support for stored goods but also act as the main structure of warehouses or storage facilities, maximizing vertical space usage.
- Mezzanines: Solutions that take advantage of vertical space by creating additional levels, significantly increasing storage capacity.
ITE® Technical Rack Inspection Outcome
Upon completing the ITE, you will receive the following documents:
- A preliminary report outlining the immediate actions required.
- A final ITE® report, containing all the data collected during the inspection, including photos and details of detected damages.
- An inspection logbook for precise monitoring.
- A validation certificate for the storage equipment, confirming its safe use if no non-conformities are present, or indicating corrective observations if necessary.
At ITE®, we don’t just inspect; we ensure that safety and quality are a constant in your storage system. After reading this article on “What Does an ITE Include?”, do you have any questions? Contact us.
